Holbrook House Plan

Uniquely Open describes the Holbrook, a classic but innovative farmhouse design. With twin dormers, mirroring chimneys and a prominent center gable, the Holbrook plan achieves a sense of classic, exquisite symmetry. The eye catching octagonal great room is the plan's key ingredient. It has French doors, a fireplace, and a built-in entertainment center that enhance the room's functionality. A powder bath is located just to the right of the foyer.

Grand columns and archways separate the bright formal dining room that connects to the U-shaped kitchen. The dining room has a beautiful stepped ceiling and two sets of French doors lead out to a private porch. The large center island in the kitchen offers plenty of counter space. There is a separate entry from the kitchen to the utility/laundry room. There is plenty of counter space for folding clothes and it even has room for a soaking sink.

Two more of the Holbrook design's distinctive traits are the master suite's private entry with art niche and a private porch. Twin vanities, a corner shower, whirlpool soaking tub, linen niche, large walk-in closet and private porch top the master-suite's amenities. A second-story loft allows enchanting views of the great room below. Identical twin bedroom suites include full bathrooms. There is a centrally located den upstairs also.

Outdoors, symmetry being the dominant feature, is expressed perfectly in the Holbrook plan, with mirrored chimneys and twin dormers. The Holbrook, a classic country home plan has 2651 square feet of living area, and has three bedrooms and three and 1/2 bathrooms. The foundation for this plan is a crawlspace.
