Marquilla House Plan

Triple dormers and a widow's walk set off the standing-seam metal roof of the Marquilla, a New South cottage plan. It was inspired by island plantation houses of the early 20th century. A welcoming front porch topped with a metal roof featuring multiple dormers provides great curb appeal to the Marquilla house plan. This Marquilla house plan features a beamed ceiling foyer and study. Horizontal siding lends an informal character to the stately facade, which is set off by massive columns and tall shuttered windows.A mid-level landing eases the transition to an L-shaped plan anchored by a forward arrangement of the great room and study.

The foyer creates a fluid boundary by connecting the entry veranda with the wrapping rear veranda, pool and spa. Toward the center of the plan, a winding staircase defines a progression from the public realm, which includes a high-tech kitchen and formal dining room to the private sleeping quarters. The great room has a fireplace, and the dining room, gourmet kitchen and expansive master retreat all have beautiful ceiling details on the main level.

Luxury amenities highlight the master retreat, which offers its own access to the solana and pool. It has his and hers walk-in closets. A large Whirlpool soaking tub and separate walk-in shower add to the luxury of the master bathroom. It also has separate vanities for ample counter space.

A pool, solana with fireplace, and separate guest cabana with bath are also on the main level, while the upper level hosts two guest suites, with an additional optional bedroom. Downstairs there is a two car garage and ample storage spaces. The L-shaped plan has 3655 square feet of living area, five bedrooms and five bathrooms.
